In 2011, German designer Herr Mandel successfully launched his product line for the first time in his home land under the label ‘Herr Mandel’. Most of his creations are an unique blend of art, design and craft. Mandel recently designed a minimalist wooden lamp frame which gives a lot character to the exposed ‘uninteresting’ light bulbs suspended from the ceiling through a wire. The wooden frame is conjured from untreated oaken strips or oiled mahogany strips. The frame consists of four triangular elements that can be easily clamped together with the help of magnets around the lamp cable. The lamp frame also becomes a very interesting decorative element in the living space.
